I was wondering if the ps3 version of Diablo 3 would be updated as much as the developers said they plan to update the ps4 version. I was originally planning to get the ps4 version, but $60 was just too much so decided to go with the ps3 version instead.

The Ultimate Evil Edition is the PS4/Xbone version of the game that includes Reaper of Souls. This version exists on ps3/360 but it does not get any updates from Blizzard. Honestly, if you and your friend have ps4/xbone, get UEE; if not, wait til you get the new consoles. The 360 version lacks a bunch of content and regular updates.
